I hate it when Print artists try to do webwork.

Oh and btw, I just deposited that check from the accident... that should put in the green for a while. Woot!
And one more thing before I get back to shredding... as of now, I'm voting for Bush... I can't stand Democrats... so many of them have adopted this extremist point of view. If you can't tell... I'm one of those moderates who needs to be convinced which way to go. People like Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Woopy, and the NAACP are sure hurting Kerry in my decision. Seems like all the celebrities are supporting who ever is running against Bush. It don't matter who. And they always seem to be the ones that have the "controversial" jokes on Bush. For example... Woopy... and another more recent: Margaret Cho... (I'm so ashamed). Is it really true that most democrats have completely lost sight of what a country needs to be like, just because they don't like Bush? Or are the Republicans just too corny and lame to come up with any Funny jokes to lay on Kerry? Line6 Edit
I finally got it to work... I love my amp even more now. I can tweak everything on my amp now with my computer. Ingenius I tell you.
5pm rolls
Almost the end of the day... and another uneventful day of work makes it's cycle.
In what is most peculiar, I got an email from my ex-girlfriend after about 5 years have gone by... and she wanted to be friends again... keep in mind she is married now... for almost all those 5 past years. That idea was quickly shot down by my reply. Why on earth would anyone want to be my friend after 5 years absence??? I wouldn't even want to be my own friend. Anyhow, what makes it peculiar is that Joe's ex contacted him recently too... to say that she's engaged now. And Connie's ex won't leave her alone. Yeah... attack of the Ex's. Go away. I'm going to MP's studio after work. Patriotic Kent
Kent has a George W Bush keychain. It made me smile yesterday. But then again, he has shorts made from an American flag and a T-Shirt with George W Bush's face on it... yes, on the front... nothing else. Just a huge picture of his face.
In the Clear
Praise God! I'm picking up a check for my accident from last year... the settlement check which will be a little over $2,000. Nice! That'll put me back in the clear on my checking account. As well as get new tires and brakes for my poor truck.
Speaking of my truck... someone(s) stole the plastic center pieces on my rims... now they look ugly. Thing is, they stole it off my dad's 4Runner too. I was thinking that maybe it was someone who just needed some caps cos they had a truck like mine... but since they stole my dad's too, it leads me to believe it was just some stupid kids who had nothing better to do. What are the chances of needing both Tacoma caps and 4Runner caps? I hope they get their whole car stolen. =) TGI.... over

This week has been extremely difficult in that it was unproductive. Despite the plethora of work I had to accomplish... I've only an ounce of accomplishments to show for it. I've only picked up my guitar for one hour this week and I ate 3 donuts today. Sick.
On the bright side, I get to see Raina for a few hours before they have their missions debriefing meeting. I also have to correspond with MP's cousin on redoing their cosmetics website. They already want to hire me... this was just 2 minutes after I sent them my partial portfolio. I'm waiting till tonight to respond. Another bright note, my Les Paul is getting fixed. Although I have no regrets in the damage it received, I am quite excited to play it again. HISTORY: The first time I gig it, it falls off the stand splintering the neck. However it did turn out to be a stroke of luck... because my ever-loving congregation found out about the incident and pooled together about $750 and surprised me with it... this helped pay for my Custom Tele. <-- My favorite guitar. Anyhow, back to the Les Paul. I got the crack fixed from MP's Luthier but before getting it back, I decided to redo the whole instrument. Instead of a Les Paul custom of today (with the gold hardware and such)... I decided to go with all nickel hardware. So Alex (the Luthier) is filling in the hole from the current bridge studs and will install a new Tunematic (Nashville small stud) bridge and tail piece. I'm gonna age all the hardware... the strap buttons, the humbucker covers, the tuners etc. So this guitar is going to become a project in itself. I wonder where Jason is... I miss talking guitar-geek stuff with him. More on the Les Paul... I inquired about replacing the fretboard as well... thinking, it'd be cool to get an ebony board with no inlays. However, the Luthier convinced me to keep the existing one as it is in great shape. MP also got me a great deal on a Bustbucker 3 Pickup for only $80 new... nice. I have to buy all the wiring and toggle switch and new pots to complete the bad boy though. Gotta meet Raina at Costco... lato for now. Gloom Gloom
With so much bills to pay this month... I went past my budget. Yes, I am negative. I don't like this feeling. It stresses me out.

Jeff, my cold fusion guru coworker, is almost finished building an administration that will be used on all of our future website endeavours. I must say that I was quite impressed.
After I get off work today, I'm gonna help Kristine move a dining table and chairs from Natalie's place to her new apartment. This is moving season. I get quite popular around this time. But it's fun. I can see how it would be a pain... but considering how much I drive with no destination, I figure... why not. At least I'll be helping someone while driving. My favorite new "bad-breath remedy" has come in the form of Eclipse Mints. I felt in love with their packaging... and now I'm hooked. Making the transition from gum to mints was a bit tough, but it saves my jaw from a lot of chewing. These last me about a week per can. $2 a week for kosher breath. Not bad. You should try some too. Anyone Want Gmail
I got a bunch of gmail invites still.. anyone want one? Leave me your email addy on my comments.
Stem Cell
It's no doubt that this year's election is going to be a memorable one. I don't consider myself a tree-hugger like my friend Ryan, (just kidding, he ain't a tree-hugger, but he may soon be)... but there is one thing that has continually bothered me about this administration: their stance on Stem Cell Research.
I love the Lord, I serve him with all my heart... but there are somethings I believe should be lived out as examples in our lives. And some that should not be left out of political leverage. I'll stand by the administration on the war(s). I'll say get North Korea next... but man... This issue of Stem Cell Research could be the clencher on me voting for the other party. I would vote Kerry+Edwards... I just hate the way the democrats are conducting their critisms lately. And I hate Kerry. But I may end up voting for him... where's Perot when you actually want him? On My Way
I'm almost done with the payments on my truck. Just one more payment and it's all done. This way I'll have more money to burn on my other bills. *sarcasm* hooray */sarcasm*
Finished building the drum riser for our stage yesternight... I must say, I was a bit disappointed. This is our third time cutting these legs to make the riser shorter. And now it's all wobbly. The carpet that it's resting on is really forgiving though. However, if they aren't happy with it now, I'm taking it home and selling it. My hands are completely scarred up now... cuts and bruises. On the bright side, I think the riser looks great. |
