Oh the insanity. This morning at 5am... I awake to the faint pulsating sound of an alarm. An alarm that is completely ignored. One that sounds as if someone "snoozed" and went into the shower. As I am a light sleeper, I set the volume of my alarm very low. So naturally, I check to see if it is mine. Nope. I usually set mine to the radio, not the buzzer. Maybe it's my brother's.... I wait it out... waiting for him to wake up and turn if off. I try to ignore it. I can't take it anymroe... so I get up to investigate.
As I get closer to my brother's room, it gets quieter. That's strange. Everyone in my house is sound asleep... no one in the shower that forgot to turn off the "snooze". I go back in my room... to hear it again. Faint... but a consistant pulse. I lean towards my window and realize, it is coming from my neighbor's house...
Now what the hell am I supposed to do about that? I closed my window for starters... the faint pulse is still felt... So here I am... in my room that's hotter by 10 degrees than any other room in the house... with the window closed.. and me trying to ignore the Chinese water torture. I at last turn on my radio to drown out the pulse. At least the radio is inconsistant. No avail. I bury my head into my pillows... cover my whole head with my thick blankets. So here I am, curled up in a ball, in the hottest, stuffiest room in the house, with the windows closed, and wrapped in thick blankets.
Fast forward 5 and half hours later... I'm wrecked at work.
